Complete hearing testing for ages four to adult provided by a certified clinical audiologist. Evaluations include measures of hearing sensitivity for air and bone conducted sounds, measures of speech discrimination ability and, when necessary, assessment of the middle ear function (impedance audiometry), and special testing to determine the location of dysfunction.

Auditory Evoked Potentials

Brainstem Auditory Evoked potentials are representations of neural activity within the auditory system obtained with an averaging computer. This information used in the differential identification of retrocochlear disease such as a tumor affecting the auditory nerve. In addition, Brainstem Auditory Evoked potentials are an important part of a test battery for the identification of hearing impairment in difficult-to-test patients such as infants, multiple-handicapped individuals, or persons with non-organic hearing loss.

Batteries
